Alternative look at the mini hatbox template

Hello ladies,
I wanted to share with you all the project I altered using the "Mini Hatbox Template". Well, it's not a box but it's a hat! That's right, you see a hat and not a box! That's one of the alternatives to this template. You can make a top hot to alter. This was such much to create and the possibilities are endless of the type of styles  you can create too! I will try to do a YouTube video some time this week on how I created this hat! If you would like a little more information on this project you can visit my blog.
I would like to thank all the ladies who follow this blog that showed up at "Girl's Night" on Ustream. I had a lot of fun and I'm excited to do another one soon!

Hope you all have a creative week!

Mini Album Kits Coming Soon!

Hello Beauties,
I am in the process of putting together mini album kits. Each kit will contain an exclusive shaped chipboard mini album and matching box template to put your mini in. There will be lots of delicious goodies and beautiful papers. Here is my question for you..... How many of you would be interested in purchasing these kits? I am trying to figure out how many kits to make. Remember the shaped chipboard mini album and matching box template will only be sold with the kits! The kit that I am working on is going to be called the Vintage Glamor Mini Album Kit. I have designed a vintage perfume bottle for the mini album and the box will match. I can't show you pictures yet because I don't want to give away too much! All I know is that I am just loving this kit! So if you are interested leave me a comment so I know about how many kits to make!
I hope you all have a great week! I will be putting a flower tutorial up on the Store's You Tube channel today. If you are not a subscriber you can find the link to the channel on the left side of the blog.

New Template!

Hello Beauties!
I have 1 of the 3 new templates available for purchase! This one is a Vintage Sewing Machine Box! I had a lot of fun decorating and designing this one!! Here is what I created from the template

This is the front of the box on 1 side
I covered the box with sewing pattern pieces that I tea dyed, lots of lace and some paper scraps. Then I painted the sewing machine with gray paint and used black metallic rub and silver metallic rub on the sewing machine. I raided my Grandma's sewing stash for the wood thread spool, scissors, vintage buttons, and bobbin.

                                                              Front of the other side
I used some WOC roses and pieces of fabric. The fabric I made to look like the machine is sewing it. I wrapped lace around the thread spool and draped it across the box.

                                                                The inside of the box
I covered the inside of the box with tea dyed sewing pattern pieces. To tea dye the pattern pieces I used a cookie sheet with sides and laid the pieces in flat. You will want to be very careful because the pattern pieces become very delicate when they are wet and tear very easily! I used Mod Podge to stick down the pieces all over the box ( inside and out).

I was thinking it would be cute to make a mini album to put inside the box for a friend. You could title the mini " Sew Glad We Are Friends" or something like that. I will have to make a new box to do that because this box is for me, lol! Really, I can't part with it because I used all the goodies from my Grandma's sewing stash that I got when she passed away. The tiny thimble I used, when I was a little girl I used to play with it and put it on my finger while my Grandma had her sewing kit out to do repairs. The scissors I remember her using to cut the thread she used and I thought they were soooo cool because of the design on them. I think I will use the box to put the rest of my Grandma's sewing goodies in for safe keeping!
So, if you purchase the template, I want you to show me what you have created out of it. You can link it to my YT Video on my sewing machine box creation or you can send me pictures. If we like your Sewing Machine box we will send you a gift! So start creating!

Have a creative rest of the week!

Ooh-la-la Vintage Treasures DT Project - Fairies In The Garden

Hello ladies,
Well, I got my box of goodies and let me just say I was thrilled! I was so thrilled that when I got it on Saturday I did a Ustream show that night with the stuff..lol. When I do unscheduled shows I will let the viewers pick out what they want to see me create. This time it was a layout. I have to admit that I was a little scared at first because I haven't done a layout in a very long time :(
So I took the challenge and I tried my hardest to finish but couldn't because of how late it was. So I woke up the next morning and finished it.
I used the graphic 45 sampler pack for this layout and let me just say I still have tons of stuff to use on my other projects that I will be showing off this week too! This pack is filled with so many pretty items to complete your projects with it! Hurry now over to the paper boutique and get it while you can!
